Broadcasting Director | Pewamo-Westphalia Schools | September 2019 - Current
I have been working with Pirate Pride Productions since the program's introduction in January of 2019. I was promoted to the Broadcasting Director role in June of 2023 after serving as the Assistant Director since September of 2019. My role at Pirate Pride Productions include overseeing up to 4 broadcasts weekly throughout the full athletic season. I have been responsible for recruiting 15 student crew members during my time at Pirate Pride Productions. I have arranged a program-record 16 sponsors and 2 partnerships for the 2024-25 school year to promote local businesses and fund our program. Under my leadership, Pirate Pride Productions produced 10 MHSAA playoff games in the 2023-24 broadcasting season and surpassed 10,000 total views over the course of the school year. My duties also include scheduling broadcasts on our NFHS Network console in accordance with the school's athletic schedules. In my two years of leading this program, I have organized two field trips to provide my students with enhanced insight into the broadcasting industry. This job requires me to work long hours including evenings and weekends to complete the job.
Broadcast Announcer | NFHS Network | January 2019 - Current
Along with my Director role with Pirate Pride Productions, I am also a Broadcast Announcer for the program and have been calling games since January of 2019. I have announced over 200 games across 6 different sports including football, volleyball, basketball (men and women), softball, and baseball. I have experience with play-by-play, color commentary, interviews, and sideline reporting. My experience includes MHSAA playoff events in football, basketball, baseball, and softball. This role requires me to interact with athletic directors, officials, coaches, and student-athletes while providing professionalism and excellent communication skills. This job requires me to work long hours including evenings and weekends to complete the job.
